After Effects FAQ

Do the CoreMelt plugins work on AE CS4?
Yes, but you must install the free upgrade to FxFactory version 2.0.5 which is available here.

What happened to the Tiger / AE 7.0 versions of ImageFlow and Veeyou?
These versions have been discontinued, we're sorry for any inconvenience. Licenses are no longer sold for the previous ImageFlow version which is now obsolete. We strongly recommend you update to Leopard and CS3. If you need to download the previous versions for compatibility with an old project they are here:

ImageFlow 112 Installer

Veeyou 15 Installer

WARNING: These versions are obsolete and projects made with them are not compatible with the new CS3 versions of these plugins, only use them for compatibility.

Why is there no Windows version of CoreMelt plugins for After Effects?
We are a small Mac focused development company, and our main priority is tools for creative Macintosh users. However we are investigating tools to allow us to bring some of our products to windows users but cannot commit to any fixed date yet.

Why doesn't Veeyou have the ability to react to Audio from a layer anymore?
As veeyou is a free plugin set we are still experimenting with the best way of achieving some features, this feature will be returned in a free update. You can still animate the Veeyou generators to audio by using the "convert audio to keyframes" feature built into AE and then mapping those to the manual inputs on each plugin. See this Adobe help document for details.

Why isn't PolyChrome available on After Effects?
After Effects does not support transitions natively, however we are working on a free update to PolyChrome which will make these plugins available as two image input filters with a time slider.

I am seeing two copies of the CoreMelt ImageFlow software or CoreMelt VeeYou software in my After Effects effects menus.
CoreMelt changed the way their After Effects plugins are installed in recent upgrades to these products, we have tried to make our installer fix the most common cases but in some cases you may end up seeing two copies of the plugins running.

To fix this we recommend you remove the obsolete version which is located in your After Effects Plugin's folder. In most case's this will be:

"/Applications/Adobe After\ Effects CS3/Plug-ins/ "

You should remove the two folders "CoreMelt" and "CoreMelt Veeyou" and then restart Adobe After Effects CS3.

If you need to access the older version for compatibility with an old project then you can instead disable our newer version by starting the FxFactory Application in your applications folder and unchecking the tick box "CoreMelt ImageFlow", this will make only the old version of the plugins show up in your menus.

WARNING: This version installed in your plugins folder is obsolete and projects made with it are not compatible with the newer version, we strongly recommend you disable the older version and move to the new version as soon as you can finish the current project you are working on.

Apologies for any inconvenience, please contact CoreMelt support if you have any additional questions.
